ABOUT
It is fascinating how much you can tell about the person if you get invited into their home. That's the whole Universe. The books they read, the little souvenirs they bring from trips, the colors they choose, the intensity of the light they prefer, the art they have on the walls.

Is it a small postcard with reproduction from the museum? Is it a poster of your favorite movie? Is it a work from a promising artist you've met in Barcelona? Or is it your best friend's drawing? We bet each work you've chosen has its own story and feelings behind it.

"The Art of Slow Living" is our way to bring new emotions, new stories and new vibes to the place you call home. And we are thrilled to introduce you to different contemporary artists from all over the world.

Artist:
Katerina Filimonova

@filimonovakaty
Katerina Filimonova was born and raised in Odessa and still calls it a home. She travels extensively and brings her inspiration and subjects from the long journeys. Katerina graduated from Grekov Odessa Art School, had solo exhibitions in Odessa, Kyiv, Paris and London.

We were in love with Katerina's art for a long time and couldn't be happier to have her as our first artist. She is noticing so much beauty in the world, yet remains humble and kind.

High tide
"That's the memory from our road trip to the most Western part of Europe — cape Cabo da Roca."

Catcher
"I saw this old man with the fish on Ibiza. He looked like Robert De Niro. I was even hesitating for a moment — maybe it's him, having his slow life away from Hollywood."

First row
"That's the view from our hotel on Dune du Pilat — the tallest sand dune in Europe. From the first row we could see the most beautiful sunsets with no borders between the sand, the forest and the sea."

Place under the sun
"My parents have a small summer house close to Odessa. We used to spend all our summers there for the past 20 years. I think the best light is there. There is so much sun that it almost feels like the person is lost in time and space. There is nothing else other than this person."

Dégustation d'huîtres
"This is my first sold painting. It was painted at the most beautiful place for me — Cap Ferret. It's located between Bordeaux and Biarritz, where little houses are lost between the oyster farms, high tides and low tides, sunrises and sunsets, tanned surfers and elegant old ladies with the small dogs."
